Sports Competition Stressors Based on K-Means Algorithm

Abstract: In view of the data characteristics of the sports competition stressor, a new improved hierarchical K-Means algorithm is formed by combining the known partition algorithm K-Means algorithm with the hierarchical algorithm. At the same time, the improved algorithm is really applied to the data of sports competition stressor, and the clustering results are obtained and analyzed. The results show that different types of athletes face different pressures due to their own conditions and external environment, and the… Show more

“…To date, cluster analysis, a specific type of unsupervised learning, has been incorporated into human performance investigations to evaluate physical performance standards ( Allison et al, 2019 ; Gaudet et al, 2019 ), questionnaires (i.e., pre-game expectations) ( Kumar et al, 2019 ; Popovych et al, 2020 ), shoulder injuries in volleyball players ( Gaudet et al, 2019 ), and change of direction movement strategies during ACL injuries ( Sigurðsson and Briem, 2019 ). More recently, Rauch et al (2020) , used k-means clustering, a type of clustering method to describe kinetic and kinematic variables that accurately describe CMJ movement strategies for basketball players positional groups.…”

“…The party gauged voter issues via analytics software and created profiles defining voter habits, behavior patterns, and hotbutton topics. This data mining and analysis resulted in hyperlocal outreach and shaped communication tailored to voter psychographics across the state (Kumar, 2019). These cases validate how data and analytics when effectively leveraged, empower parties to run smarter, optimized campaigns.…”

“…Consequently, the AAP registered a landslide win. Likewise, in the 2019 Andhra Pradesh assembly elections, the YSR Congress Party's data-centric campaign helped defeat the incumbent (Kumar, 2019). The party gauged voter issues via analytics software and created profiles defining voter habits, behavior patterns, and hotbutton topics.…”
