Spontaneous rupture of a secondary pituitary abscess causing acute meningoencephalitis: Case report and literature review

Abstract: Background:Pituitary abscess (PA) is an uncommon finding that is rarely diagnosed preoperatively. If not properly treated it is associated with high morbidity and mortality rates.
