“…In the only case where the kidney was successfully preserved, open surgical excision of the fi stula was still required. 4 Basic surgical principles of surgery of a fi stula require Annals Academy of Medicine Renojejunal Fistula-Keng Siang Png and Khai Lee Toh resecting the fi stula and preserving as much of both sets of tissue connected by the fi stula, as in, for example, vesicovaginal fi stula. However, surgery of the renojejunal fi stula invariably involves removal of the diseased kidney as well.…”
