Spontaneous Intraperitoneal Rupture of Hydatid Cysts of the Liver with Encapsulating Peritonitis: A Case Report

Abstract: Background: Spontaneous rupture of a hepatic hydatid cyst resulting in biliary peritonitis is an infrequent but severe complication that requires urgent surgical intervention and has high rates of morbidity and mortality.
