Abstract:Spontaneous Coronary Artery Rupture (SCAR) is an exceedingly rare and life-threatening complication following lung cancer surgery. We put forward a case of left anterior descending branch (LAD) coronary artery rupture that occurred 19 hours after the left upper lobectomy. The medical team saved the patient's life through an emergency thoracotomy and coronary artery ligation. Furthermore, a comprehensive literature review on the topic is available.
