Abstract:A 13-year-old healthy child had a history of penetrating trauma with a broomstick at the age of 6 years for which she underwent an uneventful pars plana vitrectomy and lens aspiration with posterior capsulotomy. A hydrophilic acrylic intraocular lens (IOL) (+21.00 diopter, Model-SQRYCF; Caregroup Sight Solution) was implanted.
