“…The dual-mode sensing strategy inherently integrates two switchable detection modes, exhibiting superior flexibility in handling diverse detection conditions . It has demonstrated greater effectiveness in the early prevention and diagnosis of diseases or in the detection of foodborne bacteria screening systems than those of single-mode analysis. At present, some typical dual-mode sensing strategies have been developed, such as the development of a new protocol of “on-super off” photoelectrochemical (PEC)–electrochemistry (EC) dual-mode immunoassay for α-synuclein monomer self-associates into neurotoxic oligomers . The low limit of detection (LOD) and wide detection range of PEC and EC exceed most of the methods reported to date, with accurate and reliable performance, proving its excellent potential for biological analysis and early disease diagnosis.…”
