Split‐Hopkinson‐Pressure‐Bar simulations using MPM

Abstract: The material point method (MPM) represents a discretization method that combines the beneficial aspects of a Lagrangian representation of material within an Eulerian solution scheme. Deformable bodies are discretized with material points that carry mass, kinematical quantities such as velocity and material history variables.
