Splenic Laceration: A Rare Complication of Abdominal Paracentesis

Abstract: Abdominal paracentesis is a commonly performed diagnostic and therapeutic procedure with a low complication rate. Previously described complications include injury to the abdominal wall, small bowel perforation, and abdominal hemorrhage.
