Abstract: International audienceThe new particle accelerator project Spiral 2 at GANIL (“Grand Accélérateur d’Ions Lourds, i.e. NationalLarge Heavy Ion Accelerator) in Caen (France) is a very large installation, intended to serve fundamental research innuclear physics.
