Spin-Coating Technique for Fabricating Nickel Zinc Nanoferrite (Ni0.3Zn0.7Fe2O4) Thin Films

Abstract: Functional nanoferrite thin films are used in various fields of our life. There are many different methods used to fabricate thin films including sputter deposition, flash laser evaporation pulsed laser deposition (PLD), chemical vapor deposition (PVD) and spin-coating process. In each of these methods, it produces an amorphous phase of the deposited film. To produce a crystalline film, an additional high-temperature processing is required. The high-temperature process can lead to considerable constraints in c… Show more

“…The optical transmittance spectra of the films show a good transmission in the visible region and a sharp fall in the UV region which corresponds to the band gap. The decrease of the transmittance is due to the interaction of the incident longwavelength radiation with the free electrons in the films [32]. Moreover, the films have good transmission in the visible region of the spectrum terminated at shorter wavelengths while, in the UV region, the obvious absorption could be observed; it increased with increasing Fe content.…”

“…Hence the NFC antenna in presence of the ferrite has been significantly miniaturized. It must be mentioned that ferrite layers are very sensitive to the fabrication process and hence will show different electrical properties [12,13]. In order to investigate the effect of the ferrite conductivity, ferrites of different conductivities and its effects on losses are compared here.…”

“…The technological importance of nickel ferrite is attributed to its applications in the electrical and magnetic industries. The aforementioned material has been utilized as a reliable agent for gas and humidity sensing applications [16,17]. The characteristic feature of nickel ferrite is its inverse spinel arrangement.…”
