Abstract: The human brain’s unparalleled efficiency in executing complex cognitive tasks stems from neurons communicating via short, intermittent bursts or spikes. This has inspired Spiking Neural Networks (SNNs), now incorporating neuron models with spike frequency adaptation (SFA).
