Spektroskopische Untersuchungen an Cyclopentadienyl-dinitrosylvanadium-Komplexen CpV(NO)₂L (L = Lewis-Base) / Spectroscopic Studies with Cyclopentadienyl Dinitrosylvanadium Complexes CpV(NO)₂L (L = Lewis Base)

Abstract

<jats:p>Displacement of the CO ligand in CpV(NO)<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>CO (Cp = η<jats:sup>5</jats:sup>-cyclopentadienyl) by various Lewis bases (L) in solution leads to a series of (28) complexes CpV(NO)<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>L which were characterised by the <jats:sup>51</jats:sup>V NMR chemical shift, the <jats:sup>13</jats:sup>C and <jats:sup>1</jats:sup>H NMR chemical shifts of the cyclopentadienyl ring, and by the NO stretching frequencies of the two nitrosyl ligands. The chemical shift δ(<jats:sup>51</jats:sup>V) varies over the range of ca. -1300 and -500 ppm depending on the nature of L, whereas δ(<jats:sup>13</jats:sup>C) of the cyclopentadienyl ring varies only between 98 and 102 ppm. The shielding of the <jats:sup>51</jats:sup>V and <jats:sup>13</jats:sup>C nuclei decreases as the electronegativity of the ligand atom bound to the metal increases in the order P &lt;S &lt;N &lt;O</jats:p>
