Speech as Action in the Classroom: Semiotic Regulation of Cognitive Processes

Abstract: This article investigated how determined linguistic actions, the speech acts, create favorable conditions for the emergence and maintenance of Zones of Proximal Development (ZPDs), therefore of cognitive actions.
