Spectrum of Neutral Excitations in the 1/3 Laughlin Liquid

Abstract: A calculation scheme has been developed to determine energies of neutral excitations with spin 1 in a Laughlin liquid at a filling factor of 1/3. The parameters of the confining potential of an electron system in GaAs/AlGaAs quantum wells, as well as regions of magnetic fields, at which spin-1 excitations are the lowest in energy are calculated.
