“…In theory, by changing the detection antibodies or using other recognition molecules (e.g., peptides, aptamers, and antibiotics) for bacteria, the proposed Mag@Au SERS-ICA has the potential to detect more types of pathogens with high sensitivity and selectivity. Notably, some recent researches show that the combination of different Raman-reporter-molecule-modified SERS tags and a single test line can greatly improve the multiplex detection ability of the ICA strip and simplifies the measurement process of SERS signals.
