Spectral, thermal, antimicrobial studies for silver(I) complexes of pyrazolone derivatives

Abstract: Background Synthesize new complexes of Ag(I) to enhance efficacy or stability and also, pharmacological activities on the operation of pyrazolone's biological properties. Results Efficient and high yielding pathways starting from the versatile and readily available 3-methyl-1-phenyl-5-pyrazolone by Knoevenagel condensation of a sequence of 4-arylidene-3-methyl-1-phenyl-5-pyrazolone derivatives (2a-c) have been formed by the reaction of various subs… Show more

“…El nombre pirazol fue dado por Ludwig Knorr (1883) y se refiere a la clase de compuestos orgánicos de anillos aromáticos simples de la serie heterocíclica (Mohamed et al, 2020). Estructura de cinco miembros compuesta por tres átomos de carbono, dos átomos de nitrógeno en posiciones adyacentes, un doble enlace endocíclico (figura 1).…”

“…Pyrazolones delegate a cluster of compounds with 1H-pyrazol-3-ol and pyrazolin-5-one nucleus that have been studied for their numerous characteristics and applications, including antimicrobial, antiviral, antitumor, antihistaminic, antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anticonvulsant, antidiabetic, neuroprotective, cytotoxic activities, [1][2][3][4][5][6] anti-infective properties, and inhibitory factors for some biological enzymes. [7][8][9][10][11] Pyrazolone is a popular synthon used to prepare a wide range of compounds with significant potential in medicinal chemistry, coordination chemistry, and functional materials research.…”

“…2 Over the past few years, the pursuit of various functionalized pyrazolone derivatives has been undertaken to achieve more applications, particularly in the field of medicinal chemistry. 3 In this context, spiropyrazolones have been recognized as notable pharmacologically active agents, which show good biological activities including antitumor 4 and antibacterial properties, 5 etc. As a consequence, significant attention has been devoted in particular to the catalytic enantioselective synthesis of spiropyrazolone and its derivatives in recent years.…”
