Spectral studies, thermal investigations, and anticancer activity of some divalent metal complexes derived from 2‐(4‐bromophenylamino)acetohydrazide ligand

Abstract: A series of biologically active metal complexes was yielded from the reactions of 2‐(4‐bromophenylamino)acetohydrazide ligand (HL) with Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Cd(II) chlorides, CuBr2, Cu(CH3COO)2, and Cu(ClO4)2 salts. The structure and stereochemistry of the afforded complexes were elucidated by means of elemental analyses, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility, thermal analyses (TG/DTG), and spectral techniques (mass, IR, UV‐Vis, and 1H NMR). Elemental analyses along with molar conductance data demonstr… Show more

“…Furthermore, the investigation of hydrazone ligands‐based diorganotin (IV) complexes has gained significant attraction due to their potential antimicrobial, antihelminthic, 22 antitumor, 23,24 antituberculosis, 25 nematicidal, 26 and insecticidal properties 27 . The effectiveness of diorganotin (IV) complexes is affected by several factors including its geometry, coordination number of the metal atom, oxidation states, kinetic and thermodynamic stability 14,28–30 of the complexes, which are supported by computational studies.…”
