“…The presence of an hyperreflective linear signal documented by AS-OCT has been described in different pathological conditions involving corneal stroma and can be interpreted as a nonspecific sign of stromal inflammation. 29,30 These morphological data prove that traditional CXL induces an evident inflammatory response on corneal stroma that is revealed by the presence of important edema and keratocyte activation; the final outcome of this persistent stromal inflammation is the significant keratocyte density reduction at the end of the follow-up period. The same signs of inflammatory stromal activation were slightly detectable in the transepithelial treatment group during the first postoperative days.…”

“…*P < 0.05, **P < 0.001, ***P < 0.0001. recognized as valuable for assessing anterior segment inflammation. 18,19 With an axial resolution of 2.3 lm, SD-OCT has a superior resolving capacity for inflammatory cell detection in the AC compared with traditional techniques such as slit-lamp biomicroscopy. Spectral-domain OCT also has the advantage of enabling visualization of the anterior chamber when limiting factors, such as corneal edema, may be present.…”

“…As a result, SD‐OCT has become pervasive in both clinical ophthalmology and basic research. It is used extensively to evaluate the anterior segment of both normal and diseased human eyes . Although this new technology has gained popularity in the field of veterinary ophthalmology, publications documenting its use are limited and normative data, specifically of the anterior segment, are lacking …”

“…It is used extensively to evaluate the anterior segment of both normal and diseased human eyes. [6][7][8][9][10] Although this new technology has gained popularity in the field of veterinary ophthalmology, publications documenting its use are limited and normative data, specifically of the anterior segment, are lacking. [11][12][13][14][15] The purpose of this study is to report normative data regarding CCT and to evaluate the intra and interoperator reliability of a portable SD-OCT device in healthy feline eyes.…”
