Abstract:Recent experimental progress regarding broadband laser-plasma instabilities (LPIs) showed that a 0.6% laser bandwidth can reduce backscatters of the stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) and the stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) at normal incidence [Phys. Rev. Lett., 132, 035102 (2024)]. In this paper, we present further discussion on the spectral distributions of the scatters developed by broadband LPIs, in addition to a brief validation of the effectiveness of bandwidth on LPIs mitigation at oblique incidenc… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
