Specific immunotherapy for allergic diseases

Abstract: Specific allergen immunotherapy (SIT)involves the administration of allergenextracts to modify or abolish symptomsassociated with atopic allergy. The process isspecific, in that the treatment is targeted at thoseallergens recognized by the patient and physician asresponsible for symptoms.
