This research was about the phenomenon of Childfree by Choice (CBC) in married couples in Indonesia by viewing their diversity, process, consequence, and child values. It used the concepts of diversity (background), process (the process of determining CBC), and consequences (the consequences of CBC). It described various backgrounds, reasons, enabling factors, and consequences for urban married couples who decide to apply for CBC in Indonesia. The research used a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. The data were collected by distributing questionnaires, developing rapport, and conducting interviews with 15 informants. The result of the research showed that in the stage of diversity (background), the majority of the informants were males, employees of private companies, had gotten married for 5 to 10 years, were Muslims, Javanese, S1 (undergraduate degree) graduates, and had earnings of Indonesian Rupiah IDR 10,000,000 to IDR 15,000,000. Most of them gave the reasons that they cared for the negative effects on the environment, which could cause overpopulation and the scarcity of natural resources, and that it is a choice and the right whether a person wants to have children or not. In this stage of the process, there were some considerations in terms of economic condition, health, occupation, etc. During the subsequent phase, it becomes evident that the decision to pursue childlessness by choice (CBC) yielded favorable outcomes, as individuals did not encounter adverse reactions or societal disapproval about their choice. This observation suggests a notable transformation in societal attitudes towards the notion of parenthood.

Review: The conservation of Tengger indigenous people's traditional knowledge of biological natural resource‐based disease treatments. Biodiversitas 21: 5040-5053. The indigenous people of Tengger, a community living around Bromo Mountain in East Java, frequently use ethnic knowledge to process biological natural resources into medicines used to cure diseases. These include Foeniculum vulgare Mill. tree, Tithonia diversifolia/insulin tree, Mikania cordata L. and Bidens pilosa tree, Cyphomandra betacea (Cav.) Sendtn., and Acorus calamus L. This intelligence is acquired consciously to solve health problems. In addition, the bond between the community and nature is highly philosophical, hence the presence of respect and maintaining the harmony of Knowledge obtained from nature ensures life continuity. Therefore, the belief is passed on through the generations, and traditional knowledge is attained following the gain of existence. This phenomenon is proven by numerous modern researches with scientific methods that admit the plant healing properties. In addition, traditional knowledge is a significant topic of interest in the United Nations' Convention on Biological Diversity, and was thus ratified by Law Number 5 of 1994. The object of this research is potential medicinal plants for healing and tengger indigenous people’s conservation model is to provide a platform to protect the interest of biological resources, including their use in the field of medicines belonging to indigenous peoples. Therefore, the empirical interdisciplinary research involves the compilation of data from the collection of similar scientific journals, for use as evidence. This is important to ascertain the existence of traditional medicine based on natural resources, followed by integrations with other disciplines, including the laws to be developed concerning the best protection methods. Furthermore, this investigation is essential for identifying the philosophical values of Tengger people, the importance of knowledge conservation, and recognizing the laws and regulations-based efforts aimed at protecting information on plant-based medicine production from extinction and biopiracy. These considerations are important because the absence of government intervention, alongside the preservation of plant species and traditional knowledge on treatment predisposes the possibility of destruction.

The objective of the research was to find out the reference to alternative rhetoric by digging up markobar as the value of local wisdom implemented in Mandailing ethnicity that uses markobar culture as a local wisdom in communicating in a formal forum. This research used communicative ethnography method. It was conducted at Kelurahan Pasar Maga, Lembah Sorik Merapi Sub-district, Mandailing Natal Regency, North Sumatera Province, Indonesia. The event or the Markobar activity as the object of the research was the Mandailing traditional wedding ceremonies. The research subjects were the informants who got involved in the interaction in the traditional communicative activity, Markobar. The data were gathered by conducting literature study, participants’ observation, and in-depth interviews. The gathered data were analyzed by using Milles and Hubberman model, consisted of Collecting Data; Data Display; Data reduction; Conclusion Drawing; and Evaluation. This model is referred to 8 (eight) components of Hymes; namely, SPEAKING rhetorical analysis. Empirical data found in the fieldwork would be connected in order to develop Markobar as a traditional local wisdom based-rhetorical model. The result of the research showed that in order to master Markobar, one had to understand Dalihan na Tolu and Tutur. In Markobar, rhetorical narration is deductive. This speech (Markobar) has to be presented with full of carefulness, especially in selecting the appropriate words and utterances. The speaking method in it is highly emphasized on the aspect of tenderness, either in intonation or in diction. As a genre, it is an art of speaking which is aimed to attract sympathy; its narration is intended to attract the attention of the listeners and to be successful in achieving its goal. The model developed is AHLI HORAS, an acronym of Akhlak (morals), Ilmu (science), Hormat (homage), and Rasional (rationality).
