Specialist, palliative and rehabilitative care for adults with learning disabilities

Abstract: For a proportion of people with learning disabilities, recovery is a more lengthy process than for others and access to rehabilitative or end-of-life care proves so difficult that death, sometimes avoidable, is likely to occur in an acute hospital ward.
