Special issue: Advancing Latina/o/x criminologies

Kenneth Sebastian León,
Anthony A. Peguero,
Zaire Z. Dinzey-Flores

Abstract: We use the term Latina/o/x to account for the diversity of individual identities and political locations. When referencing collectives, racial-ethnic categories, or non-human nouns, the term Latino is used for readability. The term Latinx appears when directly referencing cited materials. 2 The concept of habeas corpus quite literally reflects both the logic and process of the state seizing control of the body.
