“…In agreement with Duncan et al (2012), the present study indicates that meager may be one of these species for which GnRHa injections are more appropriate. For example, in the European seabass (Dicentrarchus labrax) two types of GnRHa-delivery systems have been examined in order to induce multiple spawns (Forniés et al, 2001). Both GnRHa-delivery systems induced 23 consecutive ovulation/spawning events, but after the first spawning event the spawning kinetics were not well-synchronized among females and egg quality was not as high as other studies suggested.…”
