The observations carried out by Shenoy et al (2006) and during the present study were during the same time period (July-August), however, the coverage of geographical locations was different. For instance, unlike this study, Shenoy et al (2006) made measurements at 6 stations along the coastal Bay of Bengal which were not close to the outfall of estuary discharges.…”
