Spatial Pattern and Influencing Factors of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Music in Xiangxi, Central China

Abstract: Intangible cultural heritage of music (ICHM) is an important part of intangible cultural heritage (ICH), and research on ICHM has extremely important theoretical value and practical significance. In this study, we aimed to analyze the spatial distribution characteristics of ICHMs and explore the main factors affecting their distribution in Xiangxi, Central China. Methods such as the nearest neighbor index, kernel density estimation, and buffer analysis were used in this study. The main conclusions are as follo… Show more

“…The mental health level of left-behind primary school students is progressively declining and the change range is significantly higher than that of left-behind junior high school students. This may be because primary school students are younger, lack the ability to cope with setbacks and pressures [29] and have low self-regulation ability and poor psychological endurance [30]. Indeed, separation at a younger age was found to exert a more substantial influence on the decline of children's life satisfaction [26].…”

“…Current research on toponyms involves the origin of toponyms [14], semantic meanings [15], word structures [16], and classification of toponyms [17], as well as how toponyms contribute to our understanding of historical change, geographic evolution, and the development of local cultural landscapes. In order to deeply analyze the characteristics of the spatial distribution of different types of toponyms and identify the strength of influencing factors on a regional scale, some scholars have applied geospatial analysis techniques such as kernel density analysis, standard deviation ellipse, imbalance indices, and geographic concentration indices [18][19][20] to explore the spatial distribution and influencing factors of different types of toponyms. These methods have shed light on the influence of geographic environment characteristics on toponym distribution but fail to explain the diachronic influence of cultural processes on toponym distribution.…”
