Spatial Equilibrium State and Its Time Evolution of the Multi-functionalization of Regional Land Use in the Eastern China

Abstract: In order to revealed the spatial-temporal correlation characteristics and interaction relationship of multifunctional land use in the county of Jiangsu Province, which could provide theoretical support for the spatial planning of the county. This paper constructed multiple functional identification system from three dimensions of production-living-ecological, and quantitatively measures 55 counties' spatial equilibrium state and space-time effect of "production-living-ecological" function in 1996, 2005 and 201… Show more

“…The second phase of research focuses on the interrelationship between the production-living-ecological functions and regional coordination, function classification (Zhao et al 2021a ), functional evaluation and optimization (Zhao and Zhao 2023 ), distribution characteristics (Zhao et al 2021b ), and descriptive methods (Lu et al 2015 ). The units of research have been national (Chen et al 2019 ), provincial (Li et al 2021a ), river basin (Han et al 2022 ), and county (Gao et al 2022 ). Scholars have conducted studies on production, living, and ecological space, but there are still some shortcomings.…”

“…There has been extensive and fruitful work on multifunctional land use by scholars nationally and internationally. In terms of research content, from single to diversified, much has revolved around the framework of land use function research [23,24], classification and evaluation system construction [25], spatial and temporal pattern characteristics [26,27], and influencing factors [28]. Concerning research methods, there has been a gradual transition from qualitative to quantitative focus, with typical examples of land grouping or scoring based on subjective behavioral intentions and value measurement of multi-group systems [15,26].…”

Concerning research methods, there has been a gradual transition from qualitative to quantitative focus, with typical examples of land grouping or scoring based on subjective behavioral intentions and value measurement of multi-group systems [15,26]. At the research scale, microscopic and refined studies are on the rise, focusing more on macroscopic global pattern revelation in the early stage and, recently, on tiny spatial granularity effects [29].…”
