The results of studies in factor zoogeography performed by the Laboratory of Zoological Monitoring (Institute of Systematics and Ecology of Animals SB RAS) over 50 years are briefly reported. The review deals with the distribution and abundance of terrestrial animals, changes in the shape of their assemblages in the West Siberian Plain, Altai, and adjacent areas, and faunal zonation of Northern Eurasia.
