The oxygen (OPAHs), nitro (NPAHs), hydroxyl (OH-PAHs), and alkylated (APAHs) derivatives of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAHs) are ubiquitous pollutants in the environment. The concentrations of NPAHs, OPAHs, OH-PAHs, and APAHs are lower than that of PAHs in the environment, but the carcinogenic abilities of the derivatives are usually 10 to 1,000-fold higher than that of parent PAHs. There are three main pathways for the exposure of polycyclic aromatic compounds to humans, including inhalation, direct contact, and ingestion. After exposure by inhalation, they are mainly distributed in the lungs, affecting lung function and causing inflammation, asthma, etc. Due to the digestive system’s strong capacity for metabolism, intake of PAHs and the derivatives is primarily distributed in the digestive system and metabolized there. And it may lead to dysplasia of these organs and even to cancer. The skin is the primary site of direct contact with PAH derivatives. PAH derivatives can enter the bloodstream through all three contact pathways, thereby accumulating in various organs. This study aimed to summarize the influence of exposure pathways on tissue distribution and the health impact of PAH derivatives to provide references for future research and evaluation on public health.

The petroleum industry produces both toxic and non-toxic wastes at almost all stages of production. While petroleum companies satisfy market demand, they also want to meet consumers' moral and ethical demands. Hence, CSR has become vital for the development of the companies as a whole. While CSR initiatives have the potential to bring many benefits to any business, their impact on customer satisfaction has remained a mystery. This study sets out to explore how petroleum companies can harness the full potential of CSR to communicate, integrate, and organize their projects effectively through CSR implementation to uncover how it can significantly boost customer satisfaction in Malaysian petroleum companies. Drawing on the latest insights from the Theory of CSR, Stakeholder Theory, and Social Influence Theory, this study takes a quantitative approach to fill crucial gaps in the CSR literature and provide valuable insights into the links between CSR activities and consumer behavior. 6 hypotheses were established for the activities and CSR Mechanisms on customer satisfaction. The research model was tested using Structural equation modeling of partial least square with the SmartPLS 3.0 software. The findings of this research can directly contribute to good management practices as the study can help managers appreciate how consumers understand the company's CSR initiatives and the effect it has on customer satisfaction. Hence, this research can help build responsible managers.

The spatial-temporal distribution, source, and potential ecological risk of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in surface seawater from Laizhou Bay were investigated. The total PAHs (ΣPAHs) concentration ranged from 277 to 4393 ng/L with an average of 1178 ng/L, thereby suggested a relatively moderate to high PAHs exposure level in Laizhou Bay in comparison to other bays in the world. The composition patterns and source apportionment results revealed that the coal, biomass burning, diesel emissions and petroleum combustion as well as the combination of these processes were the dominant sources of PAHs in the surface water, which were closely associated with sail process and sewage effluents. The ecological risk assessment indicated that BaP, Phe, Flua and Nap would exist ecological risks in most of surface seawater sites, but the Probabilistic risk assessment (PRA) results showed that the current level of risk is not as severe as the Risk quotient (RQ) results revealed.
