This paper proposed a plaintext-related image encryption system, which employed the hyperchaotic system to generate the secret code streams used for encryption. The encryption algorithm includes two plaintext-unrelated diffusion operations and one plaintext-related shuffling. Due to the use of plaintext-related shuffling, the proposed encryption system can resist the chosen/known plaintext attacks. Simulation results show that the proposed system has many good characters, such as fast encryption speed, large key space, high key sensitivity, effectively resisting differential attack, noise-like cipher-text image, etc., and thus can be used in actual communications.
