“…Overall, these investigations have reported a mean diurnal IOP reduction of 22.9–32.1% from untreated baseline 13 16 28. Although these studies do not provide controlled observations, they indicate that PF tafluprost has almost comparable efficacy to latanoprost and will likely benefit patients facing tolerability problems with other medications.…”

“…Several open label non-interventional studies have examined the efficacy and tolerability of PF tafluprost in naïve16 or previously treated patients with open angle glaucoma or OHT, who were either poorly controlled or had tolerability issues with other medications 12–15 28. Overall, these investigations have reported a mean diurnal IOP reduction of 22.9–32.1% from untreated baseline 13 16 28.…”

“…In the study by Milla et al, for the subgroup of patients who had been first treated with a preserved prostaglandin the incidence of hyperemia decreased from 64 to 12%, 3 months after switching to preservative-free tafluprost [40]. There was also a statistically significant decrease in the amount of punctate corneal erosions as well as blepharitis accompanied by an increase in the height of the tear meniscus.…”

“…Finally, its availability as a preservative-free formulation has demonstrated numerous advantages to corneal epithelial cell viability in vitro and in vivo. Lack of preservatives has also translated clinically, leading to a fivefold decrease in injection in one study [40].…”
