One of the important problems in the modern world is to provide the population with high-quality food. So, today the agricultural sector faces the main task of increasing the production of agricultural products, as well as the use of agricultural waste. Poultry farming is one of the main branches of the agricultural sector. The main task facing farmers is to improve the conditions and technology for feeding and keeping farm birds, and one of the important tasks is the state of indoor air in this regard, the problem remains open. Therefore, the main way to solve this problem is the preferred transition to intensive technologies in order to realize the efficiency potential in poultry farming. However, the intensification of the area increases the anthropogenic load on the environment. The main source of environmental risk is the systems of disposal of bird droppings. Our research has shown that 85 % of the negative impact on the environment is caused by poultry and animal husbandry waste. Lighting also plays an important role in poultry farming. Thus, lighting is the basis for electricity consumption. Both natural and industrial lighting is important for the physiology of birds and their development, but, unfortunately, it is quite energy-intensive. In this regard, the idea of solving this problem is being created, it is the development and application of new, efficient, inexpensive and environmentally friendly technologies that are important for large-scale research. Therefore, it is necessary to take into account that most poultry farms are equipped with simple mechanical ventilation systems without cooling. So, an increase in productivity is possible through the introduction of intensive technologies, while the economic assessment of the use of evaporation plants, the disposal of bird droppings and LED lighting can be of practical importance.

A major threat for sustainable agriculture is the continuous increase in salt-affected area. Salt stress causes the land degradation, ecological imbalance, Environmental pollution and reduce the crop production. It changes different physical and chemical processes taking place in plant body such as seed germination and uptake of different nutrients and water. Wheat is the main cereal crop and primary diet for one third population of the humans. It can tolerate the salinity effect to some extent but at higher level of salinity, its production reduces significantly. Salt-affected soils have relatively more number of salts which are easily solubilize in water and exchangeable sodium as compared to the normal soil. These salts are ionized and produce different types of cations (Mg2+, Ca2+ and Na+) and anions (Cl-, CO32-, SO42-, and HCO3-). Sulphate salinity is also toxic for plant growth as chloride salinity. The objective of this research is to assess the effect of salinity with various Cl-:SO42- ratios on wheat growth. A pot trial was conducted on wheat by creating salinity with different levels of chloride and sulphate (4:1, 3:1, 2:1, 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 and 1:4). Experimental design was complete randomized design (CRD). Different physiochemical parameters of soil before and after harvesting of the crop and also growth parameters were determined. Data was analysed using statistical software. On the basis of these results, it was determined that both types of salinity reduced the wheat growth significantly, but chloride type salinity has more injurious effect than sulphate salinity. It was concluded that chloride ion has more toxic effect than sulphate ion for wheat growth and development.

<p>The paper examined the emerging poultry by-products market, delving into the nature, revenue generation, influencing factors, and constraints of the market, using data from poultry farmers, aggregators, and cattle farmers. The paper described the nature of the market using descriptive statistics and a flow chart, estimated its contribution to poultry revenue, and examined the factors influencing the proportion of revenue contributed using a Tobit model. Kendall’s coefficient of concordance was used to measure the level of agreement among the poultry farmers in ranking identified constraints. The poultry by-product market is currently characterized by only poultry droppings trading, with Côte d’Ivoire as the largest user (76% of the consumption) in cross-border informal trade and an average selling price of 8.39 USD per metric ton. The emerging market for the by-products can be described as seasonal. Annual revenue per poultry farmer for poultry droppings is 1,072.26 USD. Management type, production scale, and membership of poultry farmers’ association influenced the proportion of revenue contributed from poultry droppings. The emerging poultry droppings market provided an opportunity for small-scale farms to earn additional income and organic manure to support sustainable farming. The key constraints among the poultry farmers participating in the by-products market were low prices and a lack of processing and storage facilities. The study recommended that agriculture sector development agencies should support the development of value chains for poultry droppings and other poultry by-products to help expand the market for sustainable agriculture production under the circular economy framework.</p>
