Source listing of OMNITAB II program

Abstract: OMNITAB II is a general-purpose interpretive computing system designed to allow a nonprogrammer to use a high-speed computer easily, accurately and effectively. The system permits the user to perform arithmetic operations including complex arithmetic, trigonometric calculations, miscellaneous function calculations, statistical analysis, Bessel function calculations, and operations on matrices and arrays. The OMNITAB II system contains 177 subprograms written in the ANSI FORTRAN language.Every effort has been ma… Show more

“…Tile addition of broth alone (40% v/v) resulted in a statistically significant inhibition of cell growth. It is well documented that lymphoblast transformation is induced also by many bacterial products such as tetanus toxoid, diphtheria toxoid [4], tuberculin [5], extracellular products of staphylococci [6], endotoxins of Gram-negative bacteria [7][8][9][10][11][12][13], staphylococcal products [ 12,14-I 6], streptococcal toxin [17], phospholipids [18], peptidoglycans [ 19 ], water-soluble lysozyme digest of Nocardia opaca [20,21], as well as other species of Nocardiae [22], Listeria culture filtrates [23] and Listeria cell wall fraction [24]. A perhaps similar blastogenic activity has been demonstrated in viral and parasitic infections such as infectious mononucleosis [25], infectious hepatitis [26], and malaria [27].…”

“…The statistical analysis was completed in January 1978 by M. C. I. Siu, B. A. Peavy and H. H. Ku using the computer program OMNITAB [ 63 ]. The results have been described by Siu [ 7 ], as documented in this paper.…”

“…This paper is one of four which constitute the documentation for OMNITAB II. A complete program listing is given in Peavy et al (1970). A user's guide is given in Hogben et al (1970).…”
