Sound transmission loss of double-walled sandwich cross-ply layered magneto-electro-elastic plates under thermal environment

Abstract: This study offers a comprehensive investigation into the parameters affecting the sound transmission characteristics of a double-walled sandwich magneto-electro-elastic cross-ply layered plate resting on viscoelastic medium in thermal environment. To this end, the walls of this sandwich structure are modeled based on the assumptions of the first-order shear deformation theory. The governing equations are derived via a coupled set of equations targeting vibration and acoustic aspects of the problem after the ap… Show more

“…Air-borne noise was omitted from the SEA model due to the absence of dedicated testing focused solely on the air-borne path, such as knowledge about the transmission loss of the panels [20]. In this context, a comparison is drawn between the results of the SEA model and the structure-borne noise analysis conducted using ATPA.…”

“…As seen in the estimation comparison in Figure 14, the average source depth estimation value was 79.69 m, which was consistent with the actual source depth of 80 m, and the average estimation error of the experiment was only 0.45%. However, due to the diversity and uniqueness of other source depth estimation methods, the environment and experimental parameters [25] of each method are different, so it is difficult to conduct a controlled experiment with two different methods. The following briefly introduces the performance of the traditional method MFP and makes a comparison with the method proposed in this paper.…”

“…Compared with MFP, the method in this paper has lower requirements on the accuracy of environmental parameters when running a simulation, and environmental parameters do not need to be known if we collect mode information through vertical arrays in real marine environments. Vertical array data collection is closer However, due to the diversity and uniqueness of other source depth estimation methods, the environment and experimental parameters [25] of each method are different, so it is difficult to conduct a controlled experiment with two different methods. “…These fluids are commonly used to study the behavior of certain polymeric fluids. For instance, Refahati et al in [10] investigated the sound transmission characteristics of a double-walled sandwich magneto-electro-elastic cross-ply layered plate resting on viscoelastic medium in thermal environment. Moreover, the molecular dynamics of gallium nitride nano-sheets under tensile loads are investigated in [11].…”
