Sostenibilidad Logística en Economías en Desarrollo: Desafíos, Estrategias y Beneficios Empresariales

Abstract

Sustainable logistics is critical to achieving sustainable development goals in countries around the world, particularly in developing countries. The logistics industry in developing countries is important for economic growth, and logistics companies in these countries are responsible for creating jobs and reducing poverty. However, the challenge of sustainability in developing countries proves to be a major barrier for logistics firms due to poor infrastructure, inadequate policies and regulations, and lack of resources. This systematic literature review aims to address the challenges and benefits of sustainable logistics for firms in developing countries. Based on a systematic search through various databases such as Scopus, Web of Science and Google Scholar, using keywords related to sustainable logistics and developing countries, a total of 48 studies were identified. This review highlights the challenges and benefits of implementing sustainable logistics practices throughout the developing world. Challenges include lack of infrastructure, inadequate policies and regulations, insufficient resources, and technological barriers. Meanwhile, benefits include reduced costs, increased efficiency and improved social and environmental impact. The paper concludes with a call for further research to develop context-specific sustainable logistics practices within developing countries.
