Abstract:Digital implementations of sorting networks that rely on a digital signal processor core are not as efficient as their analog counterparts. This paper builds on the comparators for which efficient analog implementations exist that employ operational amplifiers. From a statistical point of view, comparators are based on nonlinear means. Their probability density function and the first-and second-order moments are derived for independent uniformly distributed inputs. comparators provide estimates of the minimum … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
