“…Based on the calculation results and a previous work [9], CsI and CsTeO 3 might be removed below 1000°C, but a higher operation temperature might be required for Cs 2 UO 4 and Cs 2 MoO 4 . For the latter, Cordfunke et al [15] [23,24]. As mentioned above, it was experimentally shown that the addition of hydrogen helps the release of Cs [22].…”

“…The formation of Cs 2 U 2 O 7 as a decomposition product of Cs 2 UO 4 was also observed in a thermo-gravimetric experiment [23], and it was also revealed that the presence of water accelerates the decomposition of Cs 2 UO 4 . On the other hand, the Cs 2 U 4 O 12 phase was reported as a decomposition product of Cs 2 UO 4 by Bose et al [24] and Huang et al [22]. It was suggested that the different vapor pressure of water, 2.77-17.5 Torr for the Cs 2 U 2 O 7 case [23] and 0.1-1 Pa for the Cs 2 U 4 O 12 case [22], might have caused a different decomposition product.…”

“…22 Direct reaction calorimetry consists of carrying out in situ in the calorimeter the reaction whose enthalpy is to be determined. Only Bose et al 15 used this method to determine the enthalpy of formation of Cs 2 MoO 4 .…”

“…However, Cs 2 O is also very reactive with the humidity of the ambient air. For this reason, Bose et al 15 used a much more stable carbonate reference to introduce cesium, the reaction being…”
