Some new aspects of supersymmetryR-parity violating interactions

Abstract: We examine R-parity-breaking interactions with lepton-number violation in the minimal supergravity model and obtain new stringent bounds on the coupling constants from low-energy processes. We discuss the decay of the lightest supersymmetric particle and analyze possible signatures for R-parity-violating interactions in W , Z , and Higgs-boson decays, and in e ' ecollisions.

“…1 lead to different resonant production mechanisms in various collider experiments. The first term leads to resonant sneutrino production in e + e − collisions [3][4][5][6][7][8][9], while the third term gives resonant squark production in hadron-hadron collisions [10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17]. The second term gives both resonant squark production in ep collisions [18] and resonant slepton production in hadron-hadron collisions, which we will consider here.…”

“…• Low energy observables (for example, meson decays) lead to severe constraints [14] on several of these couplings and even more so, on their products. Although many of these bounds were derived in the context of specific ultraviolet completions, it is easy to see that they are equally applicable to the generic contact interactions.…”

“…This is due to the fact that the absolute, and not the relative, error is crucial in this search. The results are compared with limits on R{parity breaking interactions from processes at lower energies [7]. The strongest limit on the coupling 131 comes from precise measurements of the ratio R = ( !…”
