Some aspects of dynamic coupled response of functionally graded thin-walled columns with square cross-sections under in-plane pulse compression

Abstract: The present paper deals with a dynamic coupled response of functionally graded columns with a quadratic cross-section subjected to an in-plane pulse loading. An Al-TiC metal--ceramic material is applied. It is assumed that functionally graded materials (FGMs) are subject to Hooke's law. The thin-walled structures are simply supported at the ends.
