Solvent Extraction of Silver from Nitric Acid Solution with a Mixture of LIX84I and PC88A

Abstract: The solvent extraction of Ag(I) from nitrate solutions has been studied using a mixture of LIX84I and PC88A. The mixture showed significant synergism at a LIX84I/PC88A ratio of 0.8:0.2. In order to identify the extraction reaction, the effects of various parameters, such as the equilibrium pH value and extractant concentration, were studied based on the slope analysis method.
