Solution to On-line vs On-site Work Efficiency Analysis on the Example of Engineering System Designer Work

Abstract: Day-to-day working activities have been heavily altered by COVID-19 pandemic, forcing a transition from traditional on-site work to on-line telework across the whole world. It has become much harder to efficiently organise, guide and evaluate employee’s work. There are different factors that can influence “work from home” quality, and many of these affect such work negatively. A set of relevant methods and tools should be developed which could improve this situation. The goal of the study is to summarise relat… Show more

“…As far as an engineering system designer's work is selected as an application case, there is little research on the work of an engineering system designer and AutoCAD designers as specialists in their profession. The detailed description of the related work has already been described by the authors of this paper in [7]- [10].…”

“…A classic in this field is Groover's book [12], which includes universal methods of work analysis -timing of certain works, comparing these with samples, creating rules, analysing historical data, etc. Thus, when collecting the studied information about the work of a user of several IS, a set of data that can characterise the work in the context of measuring the efficiency of its worker contains the following values [7]:…”
