Abstract:This paper focuses on optimization problems whose constraints comprise a network of binary and ternary linear inequalities. These constraints are often encountered in the fields of scheduling, packing, layout, and mining. Alone, small-neighborhood local search algorithms encounter difficulties on these problems.
