Solution-processed electroluminescent white-light-emitting devices based on AIE molecules and Cu-In-Zn-S nanocrystals

Abstract: Solution process is a key technique for the manufacture of large-area and low-cost semiconducting devices and, thus, attracts a lot of attention from both academia and industry. Herein, we realized solution-processed light-emitting diodes (excluding a cathode) based on aggregation-induced emission (AIE) molecules of tetraphenylethylene-4Cl (TPE-4Cl) and cadimum-free semiconductor nanocrystals (NCs) for the first time. By mixing Cu-In-Zn-S NCs and TPE-4Cl as an emissive layer, a new type of environmentally frie… Show more

“…The Mie-scattering function [23][24][25][26] of spherical particles is applied to investigate the scattering factor of the TiO2 in the phosphor layer. The calculated scattering factors include 𝜇 𝑠𝑐 (𝜆)scattering coefficients (SC) and 𝛿 𝑠𝑐reduced scattering coefficients (RSC).…”

“…[8] Yet, most of the QLEDs are based on CdSe quantum dots (QDs). [9,10] However, the majority of QLEDs are built using CdSe quantum dots, while the intrinsic chemical toxicity of Cd prevents the continued development, despite their remarkable performance [11,12] InP, [13] ZnSe, [14] and CIZS [15] have all been extensively researched as alternatives. Among them, owing to the low toxicity, ease of synthesis, low cost, and high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY), CIZS nanocrystals (NCs) have garnered the most attention.…”
