“…We used the fact that with grid saturation, the stress-strain state of the system under study tends to a similar state in periodic case [5,9], and in the present study we compared the obtained results with those presented in [11] for the case of periodic system of elliptic holes. Comparison with the results from [11] has also shown good reliability of the used computing schemes.…”

“…As the numerical analysis has shown, in case of action from infinity of P-and SV-waves the saturation effect [9] is also observed in the described system; however, not strictly (as well as in [5,10]). And although no more than 20 reflectors are enough for the averaged analysis in case of linear and symmetric (with respect to the load) arrangement of geometrically identical holes, minor pulsations are observed if their number increases.…”

“…The accuracy of computations was checked by the comparison of the results obtained for different values of N. The results obtained were also compared with the results presented in [14] for the case of a system of rhombic holes in a half-space with the force-free boundary and the case of a single hole or an elastic inclusion [12]. The numerical investigations have shown that, in the half-infinite case with the force-free boundary, under the action of an SH-wave from infinity on the described system, the saturation effect is not always observed [28], as well as in [14]. And though it suffices to have no more than nine discontinuities for an averaged investigation in the case of a linear and symmetric arrangement of discontinuities with respect to the load along the boundary, insignificant pulsations in the distribution of stresses are observed with further increasing the number of discontinuities.…”
