Solitary Maxillary Central Incisor along with Mesiodens–Report of a Rare Case with Literature Review

Abstract: Dental anomalies of tooth number in development of the permanent dentition are quite common than the primary dentition. However, the combined occurrence of hypodontia and hyperdontia is a rare phenomenon, especially in the same dental arch, congenital absence of maxillary central incisor is still the rarest entity. The purpose of this report is to describe a rare case of a solitary maxillary permanent central incisor in association with labially erupted mesiodens.
