China is the world’s largest producer of photovoltaic -PV power with total installed solar capacity surpassing the early leaders in solar energy developed countries viz;USA, Germany, Japan,Italy,France, and UK.The electricity consumption of China exceeds that of any other nation and China is also the top-most solar producer with fast- growing PV systems. This paper focuses on Residential Solar PV and the progress made by China-its evolution of solar policies,trends, challenges overcome, progress made and the future of sustainable solar energy development envisaged by China.A comparison of the trajectory of growth in Residential Solar PVs in India is made to analyze the concrete government policies in this segment and the consistency and growth of RSTPV in India. The challenges faced by India and the reasons for slow growth in this sector are explored.The time is now ripe for India to focus on the RSTPV segment while implementing the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission(JNNSM) and learning lessons from China’s experiences to become a global PV leader in harnessing solar energy.

Power is a critical issue in wireless sensor node, because in most of the applications it is difficult or in some cases impossible to replace or replenish the battery. This research surveys, summarizes and categorize the possible solutions to harvest required power of wireless sensor node from the working environment. Sensors are divided in different categories according to their application and working environment and possible solutions for harvesting energy in each category discussed. Furthermore with applying hybrid techniques sensor node will be able to supply its own power using environmental phenomenon and whatever it senses or have access to.

Day by day the demand for electrical energy is increasing. We can't rely on conventional energy sources for meeting this increasing demand as they are depleting. So it is necessary to find an alternative method to harness the energy that we are lacking. Solar energy generation seems to be a promising technology for this dilemma. It is environmental friendly and infinite source of energy. Photovoltaic systems can be broadly classified into two-an on-grid system or an off-grid system. The energy generated from a solar PV system is based on several factors like irradiance, types of solar PV used and temperature. Analyzing the existing system efficiency is of prime importance for the characterization of the problems and for the improvements. This study deals with the performance analysis of an on-grid and off-grid system. The analysis is carried out by modeling an existing system in MATLAB/SIMULINK which is already in operation. It can be extended to analyze the grid stability. This study aims the quantification of various performance parameters like power output, losses in the system, system efficiency and the total energy transfer.
