“…The values in all groundwater (except I1-1M, I3-3M, and I4-5 M) were also above the risk-based removal level (500 μg L − 1 ) established by the Netherlands for petroleum hydrocarbon contaminated groundwater. It was an interim quality standard, setup as a first step of an interactive approach to establish a standard fully based on cause-effect relations (Vegter et al, 1998).
