Software Controlled Beam Steerable Antenna

Abstract

I am grateful to my PhD supervisor, Prof. Amit Mehta for all the support and guidance he has given me throughout my PhD. He has continuously funded my PhD since 2013, ensuring that I was free to concentrate on my research fully, without any financial worries. His immense support, guidance and encouragement were the reasons I managed to complete my research and thesis on time. I wish to thank my supervisor and friend, Dr. Arpan Pal, who has always been on hand to assist me during my research work in the lab. His support and assistance in completing my publications needs special mention. My parents have always been pillars of strength in my life. Their words of encouragement went a long way to ensure I remained focused during my studies overseas. My loving wife Charya, has always stood by me through thick and thin. Last year, she gifted me with a beautiful son whose innocent smile reminds me every day how lucky I am. I wish to thank Mr. Gareth Evans and Mr. David Moody from the College of Engineering for their assistance in fabricating my helmet antenna and providing other technical assistance during my research project. I also wish to thank my friend Dr. Gareth Ayres from LIS, for his assistance in the computer networking aspect of my research.
