Social Pharmacology: Conceptual Remarks

Abstract: Traditionally, knowledge about drug mechanism of action and clinical use was derived largely from studies conducted by clinical pharmacologists and therapeutic specialists. More recently, a broader concept of drug use, social pharmacology, has attracted growing interest and recognition.
